New Orleans New Year’s Eve 2013 Events

Riverboat Fireworks Cruises: There’s no better way to enjoy the dazzling fireworks show over the Mississippi River than to be on the river yourself! Both the Natchez and Creole Queen will be operating from the docks of New Orleans before, during, and shortly after the fireworks celebrations. You can board the paddlewheel riverboats between 10:00 and 11:00 pm, with the boat setting sail just before midnight. Along with the fireworks, the boats will include a late night buffet, open bar, champagne toast and a live DJ. It’s the ultimate in a New Years in New Orleans celebration.

Jax Brewery Fleur-De-Lis Drop: New York may have their regular ol’ ball drop, but New Orleans likes to put our twist on things by providing a 8-foot-tall fleur-de-lis to drop at drop on the roof of Jax Brewery, illuminating a 2014 at the end of its drop. If you come to witness the ball drop, you won’t be far from the fun of Bourbon Street or the rest of the French Quarter. At a New Years in New Orleans, will definitely be partying long after the lis has dropped.

Live Music in Jackson Square and More: It wouldn’t be a New Years in New Orleans without live music. Catch the Revivalists at Civic Theatre, Galactic at Tipitina’s, Dumpstaphunk at the Howlin’ Wolf, or DJ Soulsister’s Soul Party at One-Eyed Jack’s! Prices vary by concert.
